Profile

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of Political Science, Bacha Khan University Charsadda Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-Pakistan. I have done my Ph.D. from University of Peshawar. I was also a visiting fellow at the Department of Political Science Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia (USA) from June 2017 to January 2018. The title of my Ph.D. thesis is "Pak-US Strategic Partnership Amidst Conflicting Approaches towards Militancy (2005-2015)", while my MPhil research title was "Geo-Politics of Militant Culture: A Case Study of Pakistan's Security Policy". I am currently teaching several modules to undergraduates and postgraduate students of the university. I am also working on various research topics and publishing my research work in national and international journals.

Research & Teaching Interests

My broader areas of interest are War and Security, Conflict Management and Resolution, Islamist Militancy (Jihadism), International Relations, Foreign Policy of Pakistan, and the Great Powers' politics with special reference to South Asia. I would like to explore changing facets of Islamists Militancy in different parts of the world in general and South and Central Asia in Particular. I am interested in looking at the new approaches and techniques adopted by the militant groups in the digital age to transform democratic societies into Jihadi Culture. The mainstreaming of Islamist militant groups in South and Central Asia is also my area of interest.
